The Mother
The Mother is a commissioned work by Therme Art for their facilities in Bucharest, Romania.
The work is still in realisation, expected to be finalised in the next 2 years.
The Mother is a water fountain and self generative video projection piece, using a computer engine and Ai to generate simulated water projections blending with the real water, and to create changes of the surface of the rockbed under the projections.
Projections will project fantastical water formations, flying upwards and around the room. And the surface of the rock piece that forms the physical fountain will also be altered through projections.
The aim is to create a place of wonder, rest, contemplation and inspiration.
Guests will enter the dome through a water entry, wading up to waist, and then either stay in the small pool or sit and rest on the half round roman steps facing the fountain
Mudland, where people could wallow around in mud, earth and dirt, and bathe in microbes for health.
