The Sculptures

This installation presents objects, or creatures, that pretend to be sculptures. They are intended to look a bit like classic or typical sculptures from the 20th century but they also continue evolving and changing as the video projections renders them into different looks all the time.

the video is a loop and is mostly hand animated by Egill Sæbjörnsson with some 3D animation as well.

The work has no sound to point the attention to the objects and their presence in the space rahter than making it feel like a video installation.

Torbjörn Johansson at the artist run space Kummelholmen in Stockholm was the lead figure in making this project happen and the image above is from his space Kummelholmen. The exhibition took place in 3 other spaces around Stockholm; Moderna Museet, Andy’s gallery and in Vårberg Centrum together with Stockholm Konst.
